Through its grant program, it strengthens the vitality of these efforts within the city and serves as a catalyst for the greater community. Each year Creative Cauldron presents classic plays and musicals, and ground-breaking new theatrical premieres featuring some of the DMV&#8217;s most talented professional actors. The season line up also includes family-friendly performances by a highly-professional youth ensemble. The history of Tinner Hill is about civil rights, location, and a few brave people who defended the U.S. Bill of Rights. It is about hard work and perseverance. E.B. Henderson, Joseph Tinner and numerous others who lived on or around Tinner Hill had to outsmart and outflank the rulers of this rural area, and they did. Six non-profit membership organizations were founded in 1947 and are led by a 21-member Board of Directors and part-time staff. VLAC welcomes writers, artists, and anyone who loves the arts, appreciates them, and would like to contribute through volunteering or donations. VLAC&#8217;s mission is to preserve and promote our unique heritage and culture. To achieve this mission, VLAC established the Vietnamese Culture Center (VCC) in the Washington DC area as a gathering place for the Vietnamese-American community to participate in cultural activities.
